Of small or moderate size, oval, robust, subconvex; next to last segment of labial palpi shorter than apical and with more than two setae anteriorly; basal two or three segments of antennae carinate; pronotum transverse, ususally narrowed anteriorly, base wider than apex; elytra without dorsal punctures; metepisternum elongate.
