c. Harpalus caliginosus

Length: 21 - 25 mm.. Range: throughout US, very abundant. Black; antennae and tarsi reddish - brown; elytra deeply striate with the intervals moderately convex. It often appears in large numbers at lights. Its habit of feeding on seeds makes its value questionable.
