Elongate-oblong, subdepressed; purplish without a brassy tinge; antennae piceous at base, thence gradually paler to apex; legs black. Pronotum strongly transverse; sides broadly rounded; margins distinctly reflexed; basal impressions deep, broad; posterior angles narrowly rounded; disk transversely coriaceous. Elytral base deeple impressed each side; striae deep, impunctate; intervals strongly convex, alutaceous; humeral carina extending to apical third. Length 20 - 25 mm.
